Thanh Hoa police launch “Warm Borderlands” volunteer program

The Fire and Rescue Police Division under the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Department organized the “Warm Borderlands” volunteer program in Yen Khuong border commune on the morning of January 10, 2025.

At the event, delegates presented 20 fire extinguishers to members of the local Grassroots Security Support Force, while offering gifts to officers and enlistees of the Yen Khuong Communal Police Station.

In addition, the police carried out repainting and refurbishment of the Me village school branch of Yen Khuong Primary School, contributing to improving the school’s facilities and creating a safer, more adequate learning environment for local students.

Further, the delegation presented 154 gift packages, including warm clothing, school supplies, more than 1,600 notebooks, confectionery and milk, to students at the Me village school branch.

They offered 22 winter blankets and 22 gifts, each valued at VND 500,000, to disadvantaged households in the commune.

Within the framework of the program, firefighters instructed local households to employ fire safety measures at their residences, particularly the safe use of electrical devices, the arrangement of flammable items and firefighting tools, and improve their skills to handle fire and explosion incidents. The program contributed to raising the local people’s sense of responsibility for fire prevention at the grassroots level.

The “Warm Borderlands” volunteer program in Yen Khuong commune is a meaningful activity, vividly demonstrating the attachment and wholehearted service for the people of officers and enlistees of the Fire and Rescue Police Division of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Department. Their activities contributed to promoting the positive image of the courageous, humane and dedicated Thanh Hoa Police Force and strengthening the trust of border-area residents in the Public Security Forces.
