Tuyen Quang police assist foreign tourist in medical emergency

Doctors diagnosed him with peritonitis caused by a perforated hollow organ, requiring immediate surgery.

As Mr. Portnov had no relatives accompanying him and faced a language barrier, the Department of Internal Political Security and the Immigration Division of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Police Department promptly coordinated with Tuyen Quang General Hospital to explain treatment procedures, provide encouragement, assign officers to assist him around the clock and offer comprehensive support to ensure his safe surgery.

Thanks to the close coordination and dedication of the police officers and medical staff, the surgery was successful and Mr. Portnov’s health has stabilized.

Expressing his gratitude, Mr. Portnov affirmed that Vietnam is a friendly country with wonderful people.
