Over the past years, generations of PPA’s teaching staff have brought into full play the glorious tradition of the academy, restlessly strived to augment their expertise and knowledge, and devoted their energy, enthusiasm and intelligence to the academy's development, contributing to the cause of education and training as well as the cause of safeguarding national security, ensuring social order and safety and building the Public Security Forces.
The People's Police Academy currently has more than 900 officers and lecturers, including 02 professors, 44 associate professors, nearly 250 PhDs and more than 500 MAs. In 2024, two lecturers of the academy were honored as “Teacher of Merit” and two other lecturers were promoted to associate professor, demonstrating the high quality of the academy’s teaching staff.

Alongside building capacity of the teaching staff, PPA also attached great importance to promoting the scientific research movement in the academy, focusing research on theoretical and practical issues related to the work of preventing and combating crime and ensuring social order and safety.
In addition, PPA is one of the pioneering units of the Ministry of Public Security in training and building capacity of the Vietnamese peacekeeping police force.
Currently, one officer from the academy works at the UN Headquarters in New York, and two others join the UN Mission in South Sudan and the UN Interim Security Force for Abyei.

One officer has already finished his working term as a UN peacekeeping policeman, while two others have recently been recognized as UN Peacekeeping Police Trainers.
In the coming time, to further develop the academy worthy of its honor of receiving the “Hero of the Armed Forces” title twice, PPA will continue to effectively implement subordinate projects within the framework of Resolution No.12 by the Politburo, aiming to develop the academy as a national key tertiary education institution.
