Minister To Lam receives the US - ASEAN Business Council delegation
MPS - Minister of Public Security General To Lam had a meeting with a delegation of the United States-ASEAN Business Council (USABC), which is on a visit to Vietnam, on the morning of December 6, in Hanoi.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister To Lam said that the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam wishes that USABC can connect U.S. businesses specializing in security industry to organize seminars and training courses to exchange information and seek cooperation opportunity with the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in producing and trading high-quality security products and police support kits.
In order to maximize the potential of cooperation between the two sides, Minister To Lam suggested that USABC and the US business community continue to act as a bridge between the governments, businesses and enterprises of the two countries, contributing to mutual understanding of each other's capacity and needs for economic, trade, defense and security cooperation as well as promoting and realizing cooperation commitments and initiatives between ASEAN and the US in the fields of trade, maritime security and aviation security.

Minister To Lam proposed to promote cooperation between US businesses and the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in the field of security industry, including new-generation professional technical equipment, products of telecommunications, electronics, informatics, fire and rescue equipment, and high-tech security products.
The host also wishes to strengthen public-private cooperation in the field of cybersecurity with strong US businesses, jointly hold training courses for network security experts at international level, provide the technologies of developing cybersecurity technology and products currently needed by Vietnam, and transfer technical solutions and technologies for detecting, warning, preventing and combating cyber attacks, supporting data security, digital investigation, analysis and recovery of electronic evidence.
