At the meeting with the peacekeeping office of UNITAR, the delegation was introduced to its organizational structure, functions and tasks, and learned about training and training programs for peacekeeping forces, especially female officers.
The delegation also learnt opportunities for Vietnamese police women to join the United Nations peacekeeping force.

At the meeting with ICRC, ICRC's Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific Myriam Favier and ICRC's senior advisors introduced the ICRC's organization and operating principles as well as policies on gender equality, women's role in ICRC, gender equality in International Humanitarian Law to the delegation.
The hosts also shared experiences on ICRC's police and security cooperation, and informed the guests of sexual violence, gender-related issues and ICRC’s solutions to the issues.
Leaders of ICRC hailed the role of policewomen in various fields, especially in gender equality, charity and humanitarian activities.

At the end of the meeting, representatives of UNITAR, ICRC and the Women's Union chapter of the Ministry of Public Security agreed that they will propose to the leaders of the parties to strengthen cooperation in training activities to build the capacity of female police leaders and provide pre-deployment training for Vietnamese police officers to participate in UN peacekeeping operations.
