Binh Luc district deploys job fair model for ex-prisoners

MPS - The People's Committee of Binh Luc district (Ha Nam) in coordination with the Ha Nam Provincial Police Department and the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Ha Nam province organized a conference to develop the “Compassion” job fair model.

Binh Luc is the district implementing the pilot model throughout the province. 
 
In order to effectively deploy the “Compassion” job fair, the People's Committee of Binh Luc district requires all local agencies, branches and organizations to develop an appropriate model according to their functions.

The district strives to offer jobs and loans to 30 - 40% of the total number of ex-prisoners so as they have stable imcomes and successfully integrate in the community. 
 
The first “Compassion” job fair in Binh Luc saw the participation of 18 businesses and recruiters in the fields of garment, security services, construction and finance as well as more than 200 ex-prisoners.

Of the figure, 62 received jobs from businesses.
 
Along with the “Compassion” job fair, the Bank for Social Policies has accepted four portfolios on loans, and is considering 14 others.
 
Businesses provides occupational consulting and loans to ex-prisoners.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Director of the Police Department for Custody, Temporary Detention and Execution of Criminal Sentences in the Community under the Ministry of Public Security Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Long, and Deputy Director of the Ha Nam Provincial Police Department Senior Colonel Pham Hung Duong requested that the Party Committee and People's Committee of Binh Luc district regularly carry out law education and dissemination, and mobilize local people to comply with the Party's guidelines, and the State's laws and policies on the execution of criminal judgments and community reintegration while effectively implementing the “Compassion” job fair model.
 
On this occasion, agencies, units and businesses offered 30 bicycles, 25 gift packs and 15 scholarships to families with ex-prisoners in Binh Luc district.
