Hanoi City Police Department launches crime suppression campaign

During the campaign, the Hanoi City Police Department will take synchronous professional measures to prevent and suppress all types of crime to maintain security and order before, during and after the Lunar New Year in the capital city.

The campaign is of great significance as it aims to ensure security and safety in the capital, avoid any strategic surprises, as well as firmly safeguard the coming Party congresses at all local levels in the buildup to the 14th National Party Congress as well as major political events in 2025.

At the ceremony, the Hanoi City Police Department also deployed the new operational structure of the 141 Task Force with 54 working groups, focusing on preventing and combating street crime, contributing to security and order in the city in the coming time.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the Hanoi City Police Department Lieutenant General Nguyen Hai Trung requested that all Hanoi police units and agencies simultaneously mobilize forces to strongly attack and suppress all types of crime from December 15th, 2024 to February 14th, 2025 with the aim of ensuring security and safety in the city before, during and after the Lunar New Year.
