Police join people in response to disaster in Binh Dinh

MPS - Heavy rains lasting from November 19-21 have submerged some areas in Ghenh Rang ward, Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh, causing lots of difficulties to local people’s lives. Armed forces, including the local police, have actively supported local people in responding to the natural disaster, and thanks to their effort, no casualties have been recorded.

Young police officers deployed to flood-hit areas, helping people overcome consequences of flooding.
 

On the morning of November 21, as soon as the flood water receded, more than 100 young officers from the South Central Coast Mobile Police Regiment and the Binh Dinh Provincial Police Department together with the Quy Nhon Port Border Guard Station were immediately deployed to the flooded areas to help local people overcome consequences.

Local police officers participated in clearing mud and cleaning tables and chairs in offices of the government of Ghenh Rang ward, which had been submerged more than one meter in floodwater.

By noon on November 21, all public offices and schools had been cleaned. 

In the afternoon, young police officers supported workers of Quy Nhon Urban Environment Company in clearing mud on some roads, especially the road section in front of Ghenh Rang market to ensure traffic safety for local people.
