Da Nang City Police Department honored with “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces” title

Present at the ceremony were Politburo Member and Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc; and Member of the CPV Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Public Security CPV Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung.

Delegates of Da Nang city to the event were Member of the CPV Central Committee, Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee and Head of the Da Nang National Assembly Deputies’ Delegation Le Ngoc Quang; Member of the CPV Central Committee and Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee Nguyen Khac Toan; Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee and Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Council Nguyen Duc Dung; and Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee and Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Nguyen Manh Hung; among others.

Speaking at the ceremony on behalf of the Party and State leadership, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc extended his warm greetings and heartfelt congratulations to the delegates, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, holders of the title “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces”, wounded and sick veterans, families of martyrs and generations of officers and soldiers of the Da Nang City Police Department in different periods.

The Standing Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the title of "Hero of the People’s Armed Forces" conferred by the Party and State upon the Da Nang City Police Department is a well-deserved recognition of the contributions and sacrifices made by generations of its officers and soldiers across its glorious history. This is not only a source of pride for the city’s police force, but also a great honor for the Party organization, administration, armed forces and people of Da Nang City.

To remain worthy of the title of "Hero of the People’s Armed Forces," the Standing Deputy Prime Minister requested that the Da Nang City Police Department continue to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the guidelines and policies of the Party, the laws of the State, and the directions of the Ministry of Public Security on safeguarding national security and maintaining social order and safety. The city police force should proactively master and accurately forecast situations from early on, from afar and at the grassroots level, ensuring they are never passive or caught off guard in any situation.

Meanwhile, the Da Nang City Police Department needs to innovate its mindset, elevate strategic forecasting and advisory work, and closely link the task of safeguarding security with fostering economic and social development. It should intensify crackdowns on all types of crime, especially organized crime, high-tech crime, drug crimes, corruption and transnational crime, while accelerating digital transformation and the application of science, technology, artificial intelligence, and big data across all spheres of the Public Security Forces’ professional work.

Further, the local police should maintain close ties with the people, rely on the people while doing their duties, and firmly consolidate the people's security posture alongside the "people's hearts and mind" posture.
