
“Data for Life 2025” Contest kicks off
The Police Department of Social Order Administrative Management under the Ministry of Public Security, the Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Vietnam Television jointly held a ceremony to officially launch the application round of the 3rd season of the international contest “Data for Life 2025,” themed “Hack for Growth 2,” on the afternoon of September 12 in Hanoi.

The competition aims to contribute to building a digital government, digital society and a digital economy in Vietnam.
Over the past two seasons, “Data for Life” has proved to be a pioneering technology and data event with its widespread influence, uniqueness and appeal.

As the contest attracts the participation of international teams from Australia and Singapore as well as receives submissions from leading global technology companies, it gains more and more prestige and professional quality.
Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the Police Department of Social Order Administrative Management Major General Vu Van Tan emphasized that the 3rd season of the competition provides an opportunity for the Central Steering Committee for the Implementation of Resolution 57 to have more multidimensional perspectives. He reaffirmed the significance of data and the role of young people in developing data platforms.

He said, the contest aims to affirm the value of data. Data, according to him, should not be left in storage or shared superficially but should actively be utilized to contribute to the development of the data economy and create value for society.
Major General Vu Van Tan expressed his belief that this year’s competition would bring fresh vitality, new perspectives and renewed dynamism from the young generation, truly reflecting their aspiration to serve the Fatherland through creative ideas and innovative products.
