Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To attends national scientific conference on communication, education and mass mobilization

The conference was co-chaired by Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Central Commission for Communication, Education and Mass Mobilization Nguyen Trong Nghia; Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To; Member of the Party Central Committee and Permanent Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Doan Minh Huan; Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Head of the Central Commission for Communication, Education and Mass Mobilization Pham Tat Thang; and Director and Editor-in-Chief of the Truth National Political Publishing House Vu Trong Lam.

In his welcoming remarks, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To affirmed that, in recent years, the Public Security Central Party Committee has attached great importance to promoting communication, education and mass mobilization work within the Public Security Forces and achieved significant results, contributing to Party building, force building and safeguarding the Party’s absolute, direct and comprehensive leadership over the Public Security Forces.

He noted that the conference served as a forum for experts, scholars, managers and officials in charge of communication and mass mobilization from Party commissions, ministries and central and local agencies to exchange experiences, consolidate theoretical foundations, analyze the current situation and propose orientations, tasks and solutions for communication, education and mass mobilization in the new era.

At the conference, delegates presented many insightful papers and speeches, focusing on the creative application and development of Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts and the Communist Party of Vietnam’s viewpoints and guidelines on communication, education and mass mobilization in the new context.

They also clarified the role and position of Party communication and mass mobilization work in the new era and global, regional and domestic developments directly affecting the work.

In his concluding remarks, Head of the Central Commission for Communication, Education and Mass Mobilization Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized that the outcomes of the conference would serve as an important foundation for the Central Commission for Communication, Education and Mass Mobilization to further renew thinking, upgrade contents and methods of the Party’s communication, education and mass mobilization work, with the aim of continuously improving its quality and effectiveness in the coming time.

He underscored that information, communication and mass mobilization work in the new era requires breakthroughs in all in-charge officials’ mindsets, awareness and practical actions.

To achieve more fruitful outcomes, he said, the crucial role and mission of the Party’s communication, education and mass mobilization work should fully be comprehended, the work should continually be renovated and improved and the working collaboration mechanisms and the comprehensive strength of the entire political system through close cooperation among Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations should be brought into full play.
