The host noted, in the context that traditional and non-traditional security challenges are becoming increasingly complex and unforeseeable in the world, Vietnam and Kazakhstan share a common goal of protecting national security, maintaining social order and safety and safeguarding the peaceful, prosperous and happy lives of their people.

Deputy Minister Pham The Tung proposed that the two ministries should continue to enhance delegation exchanges at all levels to share information and experience in prevention and combat of crimes, particularly organized crime, high-tech crime, economic crime, drug-related offenses and human trafficking.

He also suggested early embarking on negotiations for the signing of a Cooperation Agreement between the two ministries on crime prevention and control.

The two sides should also coordinate closely in investigating transnational criminal cases and apprehending internationally wanted fugitives through bilateral cooperation channels or within the INTERPOL framework, while promptly fulfill each other’s request for criminal information verification and extradition.
