Accordingly, the Public Security Forces have proactively advised local Party committees and authorities to deploy synchronous measures to prevent and effectively combat crime and social evils, contributing to maintaining social stability across the country.

Alongside these achievements, the meeting also discussed existing difficulties and challenges, analyzed and forecast future security developments with a focus on the discussion of potential risks related to border security, rural security, ethnic and religious issues, as well as the activities of organized crime and high-tech crime.

Outlining key tasks for the coming period, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung requested public security units and agencies in the Southwest region to closely grasp the local situation, proactively detect and promptly handle emerging issues from the grassroots level, strengthen inter-agency and inter-regional coordination, and enhance the application of science and technology to their professional work.

At the same time, provincial-level police departments in the region were urged to further promote the movement “All People Protecting National Security,” mobilize public participation in detecting and reporting crimes, and improve the quality of advisory work, aiming to maintain political security, ensure social order and safety and contribute to socio-economic development in the Southwest region.
