Enhancing education and training work within the Public Security Forces

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a working session with the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) on education and training work within the People's Public Security Forces, on the afternoon of June 23 in Hanoi.

In his opening remarks, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung emphasized that the two ministries would coordinate to review and recommend amendments to, or the issuance of, legal instruments related to education and training to meet the requirements of institutionalizing the Politburo’s Resolution No. 71.

He noted that both sides would also discuss developing models and collaborative programs for strategic technology development, key scientific research initiatives, and key laboratories to serve the growth of the security industry and modernize MPS research facilities in line with the Politburo’s Resolution No. 57 and Conclusion No. 158-KL/TW. Additionally, the two ministries aim to build specialized training and capacity-building programs to foster a highly qualified public security workforce for the new era.

Reporting on education and training within the forces, Senior Colonel Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy Director of the Training Department under the MPS, stated that the public security education sector had achieved significant results in recent years, contributing effectively to the Public Security Central Party Committee’s policy on fundamentally and comprehensively reforming education and training within the forces.

The MPS and MOET have maintained close coordination in improving the system of educational institutions, refining academic disciplines and specializations, developing curricula, building teaching staff, ensuring training quality, organizing admissions, and promoting international cooperation.

At the session, Minister Hoang Minh Son and representatives of units under MOET clarified a wide range of proposals and recommendations put forward by the MPS regarding educational development.

Minister Hoang Minh Son highly appreciated the support provided by the MPS in ensuring security and safety for national examinations, safeguarding internal political security, maintaining order in educational institutions, and supporting many other fields. He expressed hope that the two sides would continue to strengthen and deepen cooperation, thereby contributing to the effective fulfillment of each ministry’s responsibilities and to the country’s overall development.

Addressing the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung stressed that thanks to the attention of Party and State leaders and the close, regular coordination between MOET and the MPS, the public security education sector had achieved important accomplishments over the years, helping build a contingent of public security officers with strong qualities, knowledge, and professional competence.

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung expressed his hope that cooperation between the MPS and MOET, as well as between their respective functional units, would continue to develop in a more substantive and effective manner through the proactive and serious implementation of their signed coordination regulations.
