
“For a Peaceful Capital” Festival takes place in Hanoi
The Hanoi City Police Department solemnly organized the “For a Peaceful Capital” Festival on the morning of August 10, at the Ly Thai To Monument, Hoan Kiem ward.

Director of the Hanoi City Police Department Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung chaired the festival.
The festival saw the presence of various high-ranking officials, including Member of the Politburo and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai; Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To; Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh; Deputy Minister of Ethnic and Religious Affairs Nguyen Hai Trung; and Deputy Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuracy Tran Hai Quan.

In his opening remarks, Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung affirmed that the festival was an occasion for officers and enlistees of the Hanoi Police Force to express profound gratitude to the great President Ho Chi Minh and pay tribute to more than 400 fallen police officers and thousands of wounded police officers who had shed their blood and sacrifice for the cause of safeguarding national security and protecting the peaceful life of the people.
The event was also an opportunity to demonstrate the solidarity and the political, spiritual strength of the people of the capital city in protecting national security and maintaining social order and safety.

The Director of the Hanoi City Police Department stated that the city police will proactively prevent and effectively combat all types of crime, enhance the application of science, technology and digital transformation, and improve the efficiency of state management of security and order so as to maintain a peaceful life for the local people while building a regular, elite and modern force to meet the task requirements in the new development period.

The festival featured an impressive art and music show and a parade with a demonstration of modern equipment and vehicles of the Hanoi City Police Force.
The parade, which is the highlight of the festival, brought together nearly 3,000 police officers and enlistees, representatives from various social strata of the capital, and nearly 245 modern specialized vehicles of the capital police force.



The parade vividly reflected the strength, unity, professionalism and modernity of the Hanoi Police Force.
Audiences also enjoyed exciting martial arts performances by the Public Security Forces, showcasing their excellent fighting tactics and skills, and readiness to respond to any situation.
