French visitor thanks Vietnamese police for assistance

The Police Station of Dong Hai ward, Hai Phong city received a letter of thanks from Mr. Robert Savoye, a French national, on April 2, expressing his gratitude for the assistance of Vietnamese police in finding his missing daughter, Vanessa Savoye (15 years old) and safely returning her to their family.

Earlier, on the morning of April 1, after Mr. Robert Savoye reported to the police that his daughter had gone missing while going out alone, the Dong Hai ward police promptly deployed officers to search for her. 

The girl was successfully found the following afternoon and safely returned to her family.

In his letter, Mr. Robert Savoye shared that he had work in Dong Hai ward and his daughter Vanessa was with him.

On her first visit to the locality, Vanessa went out alone on the morning of April 1 while he was at work. 

But late that evening, the family lost contact with her, which made them terrified.

At 9:45 a.m. next day, Mr. Savoye reported the incident to the local police station. 

Upon receiving the information, the police quickly implemented professional measures, including posting images and video clips of the girl on local communication channels and social networks, asking local people to support the search.

Thanks to the prompt and responsible effort of the police, Vanessa was located in the early afternoon of the same day and safely brought to her family.

Mr. Robert Savoye expressed his strong impression of the professionalism, efficiency and swift response of the Dong Hai ward police, extending his sincere thanks to all officers of the unit for supporting the family in a difficult time.
