General Secretary and State President To Lam visits Police Department of Prison, Correctional Institution and Juvenile Reformatory Management

Accompanying the General Secretary and State President were: Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Central Organization Commission Nguyen Duy Ngoc; Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Central Commission for Internal Affairs Le Minh Tri; Member of the Politburo and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc; Member of the Party Central Committee and Chief of the Office of the Party Central Committee Nguyen Hai Ninh; Member of the Party Central Committee and Inspector General of the Government Inspectorate Nguyen Quoc Doan; and Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Chief of the Office of the Party Central Committee Dang Khanh Toan.

The delegation of the Ministry of Public Security included Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang and Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Le Van Tuyen.

Addressing the working session, on behalf of the Party and State leadership, General Secretary and State President To Lam highly commended and congratulated the achievements and contributions made by the force over the past years.

The General Secretary and State President expressed his deep empathy and shared the hardships and challenges faced by the officers, affirming that the Party, State, and People always recognize and appreciate their silent sacrifices, which have actively contributed to safeguarding national security and preserving social peace and order.

As the requirements for criminal judgment enforcement, detention management, rehabilitation, and community reintegration become increasingly demanding and comprehensive, General Secretary and State President To Lam urged the force to fundamentally renew its approach to criminal judgment enforcement, management, and rehabilitation work.

He stressed the need to guarantee absolute security and safety at all detention facilities, strictly abide by legal regulations, and ensure human and civil rights in accordance with the law. He also emphasized that criminal judgment enforcement must be closely integrated with crime prevention, detection, and suppression, with the ultimate goal of building a safe society from its roots.

The General Secretary and State President emphasized that, while the work of the force is highly challenging, it is also incredibly noble. Every detention facility maintained in absolute safety represents a brick in the foundation of social stability. Every individual successfully rehabilitated and reformed means one more healed family, one more useful citizen, and another measure of peace for the nation. This, he noted, is the greatest value of the silent service of the officers.

With the glorious tradition of a Heroic Unit of the People's Armed Forces, General Secretary and State President To Lam expressed his confidence that the force will continue to strengthen solidarity, overcome all difficulties and challenges, and successfully fulfill its assigned political tasks. In doing so, they will contribute to building a strict yet humane justice system, and establishing an orderly, disciplined, safe, civilized, harmonious, and thriving society for the peaceful and happy lives of the people.
