MPS holds year-end press conference

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a press conference to release the security situation in the country and work results of the entire Public Security Forces in 2025, as well as to highlight key tasks for the forces in 2026, on the afternoon of December 15, in Hanoi.

Speaking at the press conference, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To stated that, on December 4, 2025, the Public Security Central Party Committee and the MPS leadership held a year-end meeting to review the Public Security Central Party Committee’s leadership over Party building, force building and the performance of political tasks related to security and order protection in 2025, while discussing key tasks for the committee and MPS in 2026.

Later, on the morning of December 15, the Public Security Central Party Committee and the MPS convened the 81st National Public Security Conference.

The Deputy Minister revealed that delegates reached a consensus at the conference that, with high political determination and great efforts, the Public Security Forces effectively fulfilled their function as an advisor to the Party and the State, advising the higher-level authorities on a number of important policies and approaches to ensure security and order and promote socio-economic development, while the Public Security Forces with their strong determination set a good example in implementing resolutions on safeguarding national security, maintaining social order and safety and force building.

Emphasizing the special significance of the year of 2026, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To said, it is the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 8th Congress of the Public Security Central Party Organization. There will also be the election of deputies to the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels.

In this context, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To wished that all press agencies and journalists would render more support and encouragement to the Public Security Forces so that the forces can excellently complete their tasks entrusted by the Party, State and people.

At the Q&A session, representatives of functional departments under the Ministry of Public Security answered queries of journalists about various issues of public concern.
