MPS leaders meet with high-ranking retired public security officers in the North

The meeting was attended by Party General Secretary To Lam; former Member of the Politburo and former Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung; former Member of the Politburo, former Permanent Member of the Secretariat and former Minister of Public Security General Le Hong Anh; and Member of the Politburo and Chief of the Party Central Committee’s Office Pham Gia Tuc among others.

Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang chaired the meeting.

The meeting also saw the presence of Members of the Party Central Committee; leaders of the Ministry of Public Security; former leaders of the Ministry and spouses of late leaders; veteran revolutionary cadres; Heroes of the People’s Armed Forces and Heroes of Labor; general-rank officers; and former leaders of the general-department and department levels.

At the meeting, delegates watched a documentary entitled “The People’s Public Security Forces – A Journey of Taking the Lead in Innovation and Breakthroughs”, which provided an overview of public security work in 2025 with many outstanding achievements.

Speaking on behalf of retired officers, Hero of the People’s Armed Forces, former Deputy Director General of the General Department of Police and Vice Chairman of the Vietnamese Former People’s Public Security Officers Association Major General Vu Hung Vuong expressed sincere thanks to the Public Security Central Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security for the organization of the meeting, which reflected warm comradeship and deep gratitude toward previous generations.

Major General Vu Hung Vuong also expressed his gratitude to General Secretary To Lam, Minister Luong Tam Quang, the Public Security Central Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security for their special attention and care for the activities of the Vietnamese Former People’s Public Security Officers Association.

On behalf of the Party and the State, General Secretary To Lam hailed the significant contributions made by generations of leaders and officers of the Public Security Forces to the revolutionary cause, expressing his hope that they, with their enthusiasm and high sense of responsibility, would continue making their part to contribution to the Party’s and the people’s glorious revolutionary cause in the new era.

For his part, Minister Luong Tam Quang expressed his sincere gratitude and respect for the important contributions of former leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, high-ranking veteran public security officers in different revolutionary periods, stressing that the Party’s absolute, direct and comprehensive leadership over the Public Security Forces is the decisive factor in all victories of their work.

He pledged that the Public Security Forces would continue to uphold their heroic traditions, inherit and bring into full play the achievements made by previous generations of leaders of the Public Security Ministry and resolutely implement the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress in a pioneering and exemplary manner, striving to successfully fulfill all tasks entrusted by the Party, the State and the people.
