Deputy Minister Pham The Tung praises Hai Phong City Police for dismantling high-tech criminal group

Over the past time, the Hai Phong Police Force deployed synchronous professional measures to investigate and dismantle a criminal group using computer networks, telecommunications networks and electronic means to illegally appropriate people’s property under the guise of the Luxkingtech multi-level marketing scheme.

By now, the police have arrested 3 suspects and seized dozens of mobile phones, computers and assets valued at approximately 50 billion VND.

Investigation results showed that the suspects had established companies and websites on the Internet to solicit investments in digital currencies, thereby illegally appropriating more than 175 billion VND from over 1,000 victims nationwide.

The local police’s outstanding achievement demonstrates their high determination, strong sense of responsibility, ingenuity, creativity and sharp professional expertise  while implementing the directions of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security on ensure security and order for the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Lunar New Year 2026 and on resolutely combating hi-tech crimes.

The successful investigation of the case has contributed to deterring and preventing crime, reducing people’s losses and strengthening public trust in the Public Security Forces.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung acknowledged and commended the involved units and officers on their accomplishment.

The Deputy Minister requested the Hai Phong City Police Department to promptly expand the investigation, complete related documents and evidence and legal procedures to prosecute all suspects in accordance with the law.

He also requested strengthening public warnings about criminal methods and tricks so as to raise people’s vigilance against this type of crime.
