MPS promotes technological cooperation with NAVER Corporation

At the working session, NAVER representatives provided an overview of the corporation and discussed potential areas of cooperation with the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security, including science and technology development, digital transformation, and database construction.

Noting that the Vietnamese Government is vigorously driving science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation as a new pillar of the country's development model, Deputy Minister Le Van Tuyen highlighted that the Government has assigned the Ministry of Public Security as the lead agency playing a key role in building the foundation for national digital transformation, including the national database project.

In this context, the Deputy Minister requested NAVER’s collaboration with the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security in providing policy advice and sharing international experience on designing artificial intelligence (AI) and data governance frameworks. Such efforts aim toward practical guidelines for the public and private sectors, helping Viet Nam rapidly access modern global scientific and technological achievements while progressively strengthening its technological autonomy.

Additionally, Deputy Minister Le Van Tuyen proposed that NAVER assist the Ministry of Public Security through joint advisory projects on policies and orientation for the construction and operation of Viet Nam’s National Data Center. These efforts should aim for a safe and inclusive digital transformation, focusing on enhancing community digital skills and safety while bolstering cybersecurity and data protection capabilities.
