People’s Security Academy celebrates Vietnamese Teachers' Day

In a warm and intimate atmosphere, Director of the People’s Security Academy Major General Trinh Ngoc Quyen Dr., Assoc. Prof., delivered a speech, recalling the 43-year history of Vietnamese Teachers' Day. Throughout history, the tradition of studiousness and "respecting teachers and valuing knowledge" has become a beautiful, standard value deeply ingrained in the culture of the Vietnamese people. 

Inheriting the studious tradition of the ancestors and deeply imbued with the ideology and teachings of President Ho Chi Minh, the Party and the State of Vietnam have always determined that "education and training are the top national priority, the future of the nation," in which "teachers are the core force of the education sector, holding an important position in society, being respected, protected and honored, and playing a decisive role in ensuring the quality of education."

According to the director, the People’s Security Academy is a key higher education institution, a leading scientific research center of the People's Public Security Forces, and is striving to become a key national and regional higher education center. 

He said, every achievement of the academy had been contributed to by generations of its teachers and educational administrators, and its past accomplishments have now become a premise for the current teachers, educational administrators and students of the academy to further strengthen unity and join forces to develop the academy so as to be worthy of its tradition, potential and position as a leading educational and training institution of the People's Public Security Forces.

Speaking at the commemoration ceremony, on behalf of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security's leadership, Deputy Minister Dang Hong Duc extended the best wishes to all teachers of the People’s Security Academy, and applauded the great achievements attended by generations of leaders, officers, lecturers, and students of the PSA over the past nearly 80 years.

Deputy Minister Dang Hong Duc stated that, in the context of current scientific and technological development, Vietnam is revising its global objective, so the People’s Security Academy should redefine its position in the national education system, in the region and in the world. 

The academy should bring into full play its teaching strengths, such as Law, Criminal Psychology, and Social Sciences, to reach regional and global levels. To this end, the young generation of lecturers must make greater effort and endeavor to continue the miracle story that the generations of teachers of the People’s Security Academy have written over the past nearly 80 years.
