Minister To Lam met newly-appointed Heads of Vietnamese overseas missions

MPS - General To Lam, Minister of Public Security, chaired a meeting with the newly-appointed heads of Vietnamese overseas missions on July 27th.

On behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), Minister To Lam congratulated the newly-appointed heads of Vietnamese diplomatic missions in foreign countries.

Minister To Lam affirmed that, over the past time, the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in general and the Vietnamese diplomatic missions abroad in particular have had close cooperation in advising the Party, the State to have appropriate foreign policies and solve issues regarding foreign affairs, contributing to ensuring security and safety in the diplomatic sector and protecting Vietnamese citizens abroad.

Minister To Lam presents the “For National Security” Medal to Mr. Le Hoai Trung, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

He asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Vietnamese missions to continue coordination with the Ministry of Public Security in relevant working fields. He also hopes that the Vietnamese missions will further support the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam to expand cooperation with other countries’ foreign law enforcement agencies in a more practical and effective manner.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung and heads of Vietnamese overseas missions all affirmed that they would strive to fulfill their tasks and closely cooperate with the MPS’ functional units, contributing to raising the position of Vietnam in the international arena as well as maintaining security of the country and the regions.

On this occasion, Minister To Lam presented “For National Security” medals to Mr. Le Hoai Trung and the heads of the Vietnamese overseas missions in recognition of their contributions to ensuring political security, maintaining social order, safety, and foreign affairs.
