Minister To Lam receives incoming Belarusian Ambassador to Vietnam

MPS - General To Lam, Minister of Public Security (MPS) met Mr. Vladimir Baravikov, newly accredited Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Vietnam on March 29.

At the meeting, Minister To Lam congratulated Mr. Vladimir Baravikov on his appointment as the Belarus Ambassador to Vietnam and stated that the cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and its counterparts of Belarus has gained fruitful results over the past time.

Overview of the meeting.

The two sides have promoted cooperation in the field of crime prevention and control such as fighting against organized crime, high-tech crime, terrorist crime, human trafficking crime, and non-traditional security threats. They also enhanced capacity building and training for law enforcement officers, especially in the fields of high-tech crime, economic crime, criminal forensics, fire prevention and fighting.

Minister To Lam hoped, the Ambassador would continue promoting cooperation between the two sides and facilitate exchange of delegations at all levels to discuss issues of mutual interest while bolstering cooperation of the law enforcement forces of the two countries in crime control and professional training.

Ambassador Vladimir Baravikov thanked Minister To Lam for the warm reception and affirmed that, in his position, he will make a large contribution to expanding the cooperation between Belarus and Vietnam in general, and between Belarusian law enforcement agencies and the Vietnamese MPS in particular.
