Vietnam, Australia hold dialogues on prevention of human trafficking and illegal migration
MPS - The Immigration Department under the Ministry of Public Security, in coordination with the Immigration Division of the Quang Binh Provincial Police Department, the Embassy of Australia in Vietnam and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in, on April 4-18 organized 4 community-based dialogues with hundreds of people in Quang Binh province on policies of migration and prevention of human trafficking and illegal migration.
At the event, people were provided with exact information about immigration, safe and legal labor export as well as the consequences of illegal migration to Australia, procedures for borrowing and conditions for debt remission of exporting labors, policies to support victims of human trafficking in foreign countries and measures to avoid being victims of human trafficking.
Speaking at the event, representatives of the Australian Government emphasized that illegal migrants to Australia by boat could not be accepted to the country and be forced to return to their home countries. They also urged Vietnamese people not believe in enticement of human trafficking cliques.
