Major General Tran Ngoc Ha, Director of the Criminal Police Department under the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and Mr. Liu Zhongyi, Director of the Criminal Investigation Bureau under the Chinese Ministry of Public Security co-chaired the conference.
Speaking at conference, Major General Tran Ngoc Ha emphasized that over the past years, the relationship and cooperation between the Vietnamese and Chinese criminal police forces have strongly developed in both width and depth, especially in crime prevention and fighting, information sharing and criminal investigation capacity building, contributing to holding back crimes in both countries.
In the face of complex security and order situations in the region and world, the conference served as an opportunity for two sides to assess the results of the bilateral cooperation, share experiences, and seek approaches to overcome the existing difficulties and problems as well as to work out the orientations and tasks for the two sides’ coordination in the coming time.
The two sides also agreed to improve the cooperation effectiveness between the Vietnamese Criminal Police Department and Chinese Criminal Investigation Bureau in the coming time.
The two sides also agreed to further implement the signed deals and joint plans signed by the two Governments and ministries on crime prevention and combat.
The two sides vowed to promote cooperation between the criminal forces and the police units of the two countries’ localities sharing the borderline, open intensive campaigns to crack down on crimes along the shared borderline and maintain the rotational organization of the annual criminal briefings.
