Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son works with Ca Mau Police

MPS - Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security, leading a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security, worked with the Ca Mau Provincial Police Department on November 5.

At the working session, Senior Colonel Phan Thanh Sy, Director of the Ca Mau Provincial Police Department, briefed the Deputy Minister and delegation on results of the Ca Mau Police’s task performance in 2018. According to the report, there were 535 criminal cases in the province in 2018. Of the figure, 460 cases or 85.9% were successfully investigated while all 27 serious cases were resolved.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son praised the outstanding achievements of the Ca Mau Provincial Police Department gained over the past time. He emphasized that the new missions in the current context require each police officer to raise their sense of responsibility, actively grasp the situation and effectively fight crimes. The Ca Mau Police should focus on checking and stamping out criminal groups related to loan sharking, protection racket, foreclosure, “black credit”, debt collecting scam, and violent opposition to on–duty police officers.

Deputy Minister Son asked the Ca Mau Provincial Police Department to focus on grasping the situation, well conduct law dissemination and education, promote preventive measures, and regularly open intensive campaigns against crimes. In addition, the Ca Mau Provincial Police Department should well implement the guidelines of the MPS on building a streamlined, efficient and effective organization while reinforcing personnel management and force building and heightening the roles and responsibilities of leaders of units.
