Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son and the delegation checked the facilities and detainment conditions of the Ngoc Ly Prison, met with doctors working at the prison’s infirmary, and visited the ill inmates at the infirmary.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son praised the outcomes of the Ngoc Ly Prison in recent times. He emphasized that the prison's Board of Superintendents and all staff members have made major efforts to overcome many difficulties, achieve these remarkable results, strictly and fully implement the management and detention of prisoners according to the regulations, and avoid any sudden or unexpected happenings. He also hailed its re-education work and implementation of policies, while vocational training for inmates and their lives at the prison have been improved.
The Deputy Minister of Public Security also asked the Ngoc Ly Prison to further promote the management and protection of security and safety of the prison in the coming time; continue to improve the quality and efficiency of re-education of inmates; ensure conditions and policies towards prisoners according to the laws.
Deputy Minister Son then asked all police officers, soldiers and workers of the unit to seek supports from the provincial police to manage and protect the “Uncle Ho’s 6 Teachings” Memorial Site in Nha Nam commune, Tan Yen district. He also asked the unit to attach importance to improving living conditions of the staff as well as of prisoners.
