Ministry of Public Security hosts reputable ethnic minority people of Dien Bien province

MPS - Major General Le Tan Toi, Deputy Minister of Public Security, hosted a meeting with a delegation of reputable ethnic minority people from Dien Bien province visiting Hanoi on November 25.

Implementing the Prime Minister's directive, the People's Committee of Dien Bien province has recognized 1,239 reputable ethnic minority people in the province, who have greatly contributed to preserving and promoting their ethnic culture and traditions, building civilized and safe villages, and strengthening the people's security posture. Particularly in 2020, the reputable ethnic minority people provided 402 crime reports to the police and mobilized their villagers to surrender 14 homemade guns and many other supporting tools to the authorities.

With their achievements and contributions to the “All people protect the national security” movement in 2020, 45 families and 89 reputable ethnic minority people were honored by the authorities of Dien Bien province.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi conveyed the greetings from General To Lam, Minister of Public Security, to the ethnic minorities in Dien Bien province in general, and the delegates to the meeting in particular. The Deputy Minister affirmed that the Ministry of Public Security always attaches importance to supporting all ethnic minorities.

Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi expressed hope, the reputable ethnic minority people of Dien Bien province will cement the unity among ethnic groups and in local communities while implementing the Party's guidelines, the State's laws, raising their vigilance against hostile views, contributing to ensuring security and order in their localities.
