After a month implementing the campaign, the provincial police cracked down on 9 cases and arrested 15 people involved in illegally offering loans with high interest to gamblers, laborers and small businesses as well as arrested 9 other people for distributing leaflets affecting urban order and traffic safety.
Particularly, the provincial police arrested 518 people involved in 63 cases of gambling activities, seized 350 motorcycles, 268 cellphones and many other exhibits. The police also prosecuted one case and 3 accused for gambling, detained 46 suspects, and gave administrative fines to 101 people.
Regarding gambling in the form of fish shooting games, the police cracked down on 5 cases, arrested 41 people, 6 fish shooting machines and applied administrative penalties to 11 people. After the campaign, 13 spots with 28 fish shooting machines stopped operation.
