Can Tho City police support people in historical flooding

MPS - Recently, the Ninh Kieu District Police Station under the Can Tho City Police Department have actively deployed their officers to support people during the historical tidal surge, which caused serious flooding at the extended route of Nguyen Van Cu in Ninh Kieu district, Can Tho.

During the tidal surge, the Can Tho City Police Department assigned its officers to be  on duty around the clock and coordinate with other functional units to facilitate vehicles’ and people’s  traveling on the flooded roads.

Mr. Le Quang Manh, Chairman of the Can Tho Municipal People's Committee on September 30 requested leaders of local agencies and departments as well as chairmen of district-level people's committees to urgently deploy forces and take urgent measures to effectively respond to the tidal surge, thus ensuring safety for local people and their properties.

The police officers and volunteers support people to travel in the flooded roads.

The image of police officers and soldiers helping people in the deeply flooded roads leaves a good impression on local people.

On afternoon of September 30 and the morning of October 1, the tidal peak was from 0.25 to 0.3cm higher than the third alarming level.

Police officers and soldiers are on duty to support thousands of vehicles on Nguyen Van Cu Street.

Civil defense officers and young volunteers actively support people.

Traffic police officers are on duty to support people and vehicles go through floods.
