To strengthen solidarity, foster closer bonds and enhance mutual support between the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) of Vietnam and the Korean National Police Agency (KNPA), the two agencies co-held the 3rd Sports Exchange in Asan City, the Republic of Korea, from November 19 to 20, 2025.

The annual cultural and sports exchange program, held alternately by the MPS and the KNPA, serves as a meaningful event to reinforce friendship, deepen mutual understanding and promote cooperation between the police forces of the two countries, thereby contributing to the strengthening of the broader Vietnam–Republic of Korea relationship.
The 2025 edition in Asan featured four sport events: 11-a-side football, Taekwondo, Judo and Kendo.
Athletes, who are officers from the MPS and the KNPA, delivered exciting, enthusiastic performances, demonstrating high sportsmanship and professionalism.
Each match, regardless of the outcome, helped further strengthen the cooperative, friendly and cohesive ties between the two police forces.
In the coming time, the two sides agreed to continue expanding exchange and interaction activities to further enhance mutual understanding and share best practices in high-performance sports.
These efforts are expected to open new opportunities for cooperation in both grassroots sports development and elite athletic training within the police forces of the two countries.
The Republic of Korea side will also provide training for Vietnamese public security athletes in the sports it is good at, including Taekwondo, Judo, archery and Kendo.
In addition, the KNPA will supply materials for both basic and advanced training, and support the MPS with equipment for professional training.
