Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long praises Hanoi City Police Department for dismantling large-scale drug trafficking network

Over the past time, the Hai Ba Trung Ward Police Station under the Hanoi City Police Department took synchronous professional measures to fight drug-related crime and arrested an offender who made use of international courier and logistics services to traffic illicit drugs from other countries into Vietnam. 

By now, the police have seized more than 50 kilograms of synthetic drugs and a number of other exhibits.

The outstanding exploit reflects the high sense of responsibility and sharp professional expertise of the Hanoi Police Force in general, and the Hai Ba Trung Ward Police Station in particular, as well as their serious implementation of the directions of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security’s leadership on preventing and combating transnational drug-related crimes.

The arrest of the suspect and the seizure of a large quantity of narcotics has also demonstrated the strong capacity of grassroots-level police forces for combating crime. The feat of arms has also contributed to deterring and preventing criminal activities, cutting off drug supply networks into the country, and strengthening people’s trust in the Public Security Forces.
