Earlier, at around 14:00 on April 5, 2026, Ms. Angel Rose Perona Salalac (born in 2000, Philippine nationality) reported to the communal police station that she had lost a black handbag.
According to her report, the Filipino lost her bag while she was traveling between the Moana Lapa area and Sapa Yen Hotel. The bag contained lots of valuable assets and personal documents, including her passport, round-trip air tickets, cash, her credit card and debit card, as well as other important papers.
Immediately, the Communal Police Station of Sa Pa ward deployed officers to search the area, while widely calling on residential groups in the locality to assist in finding the lost property.
At around 22:00 the same day, Mr. Sung A Khua, a local taxi driver, found the handbag and brought it to the police station, hoping it would be quickly returned to its owner.
On the morning of April 6, the communal police completed necessary procedures and returned all belongings to Ms. Angel Rose Perona Salalac.
The case once again demonstrates the responsibility and dedication of the Lao Cai grassroots-level police force in ensuring security and order, contributing to promoting the positive image of the Vietnamese Public Security Forces in the eyes of international visitors.
