
Deputy Minister Pham The Tung visits injured Hanoi police officer
A delegation of the Ministry of Public Security, led by Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung, visited Captain Le Dinh Cong, a Hanoi police officer injured while doing his duty on the afternoon of August 22, at the 108 Central Military Hospital in Hanoi.

Captain Le Dinh Cong, an officer of the Special Task Force Squad under the Mobile Police Division of the Hanoi City Police Department, was injured on the evening of August 21 while safeguarding a drill for the grand parade celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.
At the hospital, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung inquired after Captain Le Dinh Cong’s health and encouraged him and his family. The deputy minister also acclaimed the officer’s sense of responsibility and courage, saying that Captain Le Dinh Cong and his colleagues had spared no effort to stop lawbreakers when performing their mission of ensuring security and order at a major national event.

They exemplified the noble qualities of the Public Security Forces “To be ready to sacrifice themselves for the nation, and wholeheartedly serve the people”.
Deputy Minister Pham The Tung requested the Hanoi City Police Department, in coordination with under-ministerial functional units, to promptly implement policies for on-duty officers injured and provide the best possible support for Captain Le Dinh Cong and his family during his treatment so that he can early recover and return to work.
Mrs. Trinh Thi Loan, wife of Captain Le Dinh Cong, expressed sincere gratitude for the care and timely encouragement from the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security and Deputy Minister Pham The Tung personally.
She emphasized that the care and support from the leadership was a great source of motivation for the family to help Captain Le Dinh Cong out of his pain.
