
Hue City police return lost items to foreign tourist
The Immigration Management Division under the Hue City Police Department revealed that the Phu Bai Airport Security Team recently returned a lost handbag containing important documents and valuable property to a foreign tourist at Phu Bai International Airport, on February 22, 2026.

Earlier, at 00:35 a.m. on February 19, while performing their duties at the arrival hall, airport security officers discovered a handbag there.
Checking the inside of the bag, the security officers found valuable belongings as well as various personal documents, especially essential papers permitting a foreigner to stay and travel in Vietnam.
Immediately, the security officers reported the case to relevant units, asking them to verify the identity of the owner.
After a short verification process, the Hue City police successfully contacted Mr. H.L.J., an Australian national who was traveling to Quang Tri Province at the time.
The owner was asked to return to complete procedures in accordance with the laws to get back his lost belongings.
Upon receiving the handbag with all belongings inside, the Australian tourist expressed deep appreciation and extended sincere thanks to the Hue City police for their sense of responsibility and professional conduct.
The incident not only enabled the tourist to continue his journey safely and smoothly, but also further promoted the positive image of the Vietnamese Public Security Forces in the eyes of international friends.
