Both sides highly valued the growing partnership between the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) of Vietnam and UK law enforcement agencies, noting that their cooperation had produced positive results in various areas, such as information exchange on criminal cases involving citizens of each other’s country, joint efforts to combat illegal migration as well as in building capacity of Vietnamese public security officers.

To further strengthen bilateral ties between the two nations, particularly cooperation between Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security and UK law enforcement agencies, the host and the guest agreed to enhance consultation, mutual support and coordination at international forums, especially the ones on non-traditional security threats, cybersecurity, counterterrorism, anti–money laundering and document forgery prevention.

They also agreed to promote delegation exchanges at all levels to share experience in crime prevention and investigation, coordinate in tracking and arresting fugitives wanted by one country hiding in the other, and maintain close cooperation to ensure the security and safety of diplomatic missions, high-level delegations and citizens of one country living and working in the other country.
