
Minister Luong Tam Quang presents Tet gifts to policy beneficiary families in Hue City
On the occasion of the 2026 Lunar New Year, Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang visited the family of former Member of the Politburo, former Secretary of the 9th Party Central Committee and former Head of the Central Commission for Ideology and Culture Nguyen Khoa Diem, on February 2 in Hue City.

During his trip, Minister Luong Tam Quang also presented gifts to local authorities, units of the armed forces, disadvantaged people, policy beneficiary families and ethnic minority households in Hung Loc Commune.
Visiting the family of Mr. Nguyen Khoa Diem, the Minister expressed his deep respect for the former leader’s significant contributions to the Party’s revolutionary cause, particularly in the fields of ideology and culture.
Affirming that the Party and the State always recognize and cherish the contributions by venerable leaders, Minister Luong Tam Quang expressed his hope that the former leader and his family would continue to provide their wisdom and experience for the cause of national construction and development.
Later, the Minister and his delegation visited Hung Loc Commune to present gifts to the communal authorities and units of the armed forces and to offer 100 Tet gifts to policy beneficiary families, disadvantaged households and ethnic minority residents in the area.
The Minister warmly inquired about people’s living conditions, listened to their concerns and aspirations, showed empathy for their difficulties, and encouraged them to continue placing trust in the Party’s leadership, actively participate in patriotic emulation movements and fulfill their citizenships, particularly exercising their right to cast votes in the upcoming elections of deputies to the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels.
Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized that the election of deputies to the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels is a major political event of the country, when all citizens directly exercise their citizenship to choose outstanding candidates who worthily represent their will and aspirations.
He stressed that caring for people’s livelihoods and paying attention to policy beneficiary families, those with meritorious service and poor households constitute an important foundation for consolidating public trust and social consensus, enabling the election day to truly becomes a nationwide festival.
