MPS, MAE review 90-day campaign on enriching and cleansing National Land Database

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (MAE) co-held a meeting to review the implementation of the 90-day campaign on enriching and cleansing the National Land Database on the afternoon of October 17, in Hanoi.

According to the report presented at the meeting, after 45 days, the MAE had completed four major task groups related to the enrichment and cleansing of the land database. Meanwhile, the MPS crosschecked and authenticate land users’ and homeowners’ information provided by the MAE with the data from the National Population Database.

At the meeting, delegates evaluated the results achieved by the two ministries and localities in implementing the campaign after the first 45 days, as well as proposed measures to fulfill the assigned tasks in the coming time.

On behalf of the leadership of both ministries, Acting Minister Tran Duc Thang expressed sincere appreciation to all relevant agencies, provinces and cities for their proactive engagement and the notable results achieved in the campaign.

To reach the objectives of the campaign, Acting Minister Tran Duc Thang urged functional agencies of the two ministries at both central and local levels to strengthen coordination and promptly solve issues arising. 

He also emphasized the importance of reviewing, categorizing, enriching, cleansing and standardizing the land database while ensuring information security and data safety — stressing that maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of the database remains a top priority throughout the process.

On this occasion, the two ministries also signed a Coordination Plan on Communication, Prevention and Combat of Wildlife-Related Violations in Vietnam, aiming to further enhance inter-ministerial cooperation in environmental protection and law enforcement.
