MPS Office reviews task performance in first half of 2026

The Office of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) convened a meeting on the afternoon of July 8 to review its performance during the first half of 2026 and outline tasks for the remainder of the year.

Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Dang Hong Duc attended and delivered a keynote address at the event, which was chaired by Chief of the MPS Office Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan.

During the first six months of 2026, guided by its "Three Bests" motto: "Best Strategic Advisory, Best Digital Transformation, and Best Services," the MPS Office closely aligned its operations with the directives of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry's leadership. The Office successfully modernized its working methods, enhanced the caliber of its strategic counsel, and accelerated agency-wide digital transformation. These concerted efforts played a critical role in maintaining political stability, ensuring public order, and facilitating the country's socio-economic development and foreign affairs.

Addressing the conference, Deputy Minister Dang Hong Duc commended the MPS Office for its first-half achievements. He noted that, despite a heavy workload packed with complex, unprecedented and highly strategic assignments, the Office effectively fulfilled its core mandate as the direct advisory and assistant body for the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry's leadership. Furthermore, the Office successfully realized numerous high-quality resolutions, conclusions, and blueprints ahead of schedule, earning strong praise from the MPS leadership as well as agencies and units across the Public Security Forces.

Regarding its missions in the time ahead, Deputy Minister Duc urged the MPS Office to further elevate its strategic advisory capabilities and attach importance to capacity-building of its officers, aiming at the development of a core team of advisory officers who possess staunch political integrity, strategic foresight, and the analytical depth required to forecast and manage emerging security issues.

The Deputy Minister also instructed the Office to step up its guidance and connectivity with lower-level advisory divisions of under-ministerial agencies provincial police departments. He demanded a continuous overhaul of working methods, anchored in proactiveness, responsibility and strict discipline. Additionally, he highlighted the need for specialized counsel on science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, the security and strategic defense industries, and the modernization of corporate office administration.

On behalf of the Party and State leadership, Deputy Minister Dang Hong Duc concluded the ceremony by presenting prestigious national medals and the Government’s Emulation Flags to outstanding collectives and individuals within the MPS Office.
