
MPS reviews preparatory work for 8th Public Security Central Party Congress
Deputy Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Head of the Subcommittee for Organization and Services, chaired a meeting in Hanoi on the morning of September 19 to review the preparatory work for the 8th Congress of the Public Security Central Party Organization for the 2025–2030 tenure.

Reporting on the preparation, Chief of the MPS Office Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan noted that the 8th Congress is scheduled to take place over three days, from October 3 to 5, with the official opening session on October 4.

To prepare for the congress, the Office of the Public Security Central Party Committee, in coordination with the Department of Organization and Personnel, the Department of Public Security History, Science and Strategy and other relevant units, drafted and finalized documents for the event in line with the recent instructions of the Politburo.
To highlight the congress, relevant units have carried out dissemination programs and cultural events while necessary logistical conditions and facilities have been arranged and are ready to serve the event.
Regarding security and order, MPS professional units and the Hanoi City Police Department have drafted plans to ensure traffic safety and transport delegations.

At the meeting, delegates discussed remaining difficulties in the preparatory work, and pointed out tasks to do from now until the opening session.
Concluding the meeting, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To praised the Office of the Public Security Central Party Committee as the Standing Body of the Subcommittee for Organization and Services, and other relevant units for their good preparation for the congress.
He requested them to continue to review all preparatory work, seriously implement their assignments, and promptly complete all congress-related preparations as well as logistical and service tasks.
The Deputy Minister also urged continued promotion of communication and cultural activities to highlight the upcoming event, along with the consistent deployment of security and order measures to ensure its comprehensive success.
