
Public Security Forces striving to achieve 2025 work objectives
Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang chaired a meeting to review work results of the entire Public Security Forces in the third quarter and the first nine months of 2025, on October 2 in Hanoi.

Delivering a general report, Chief of the MPS Office Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan stated that, under the resolute leadership of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the MPS leadership, the Public Security Forces have taken comprehensive professional measures to maintain political security and ensure social order and safety, thereby contributing to the country’s socio-economic development and foreign affairs.

Notably, in the third quarter of 2025, the Public Security Forces ensured absolute security and safety for Party and State leaders and international delegations, as well as celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.
The forces also launched intensive campaigns against crimes, effectively conducted firefighting, rescue and relief operations, and advised competent authorities on granting amnesty to more than 14,000 inmates on the National Day occasion.

Under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung, leaders of public security units and agencies discussed a wide range of issues related to security protection, crime prevention and control, force building, and relief activities in localities affected by Typhoon No. 10 and its subsequent flooding.
On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the MPS leadership, Minister Luong Tam Quang praised the entire Public Security Forces for their large efforts and achievements over the past nine months.

As Party congresses at all levels are taking place in preparation for the 14th National Party Congress, the Minister urged leaders of public security units and agencies to uphold their responsibility and make more effort in order to reach all the work objectives set in the 2025 Resolution and Directives of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the MPS.
He stressed the need to accelerate the implementation of projects and tasks entrusted by the Politburo, Secretariat and Government in the final quarter of 2025.
Minister Luong Tam Quang also requested the forces to make thorough preparations for the 8th Congress of the Public Security Central Party Organization for the 2025–2030 tenure and the Signing Ceremony of the Hanoi Convention in line with international diplomatic protocol.
Finally, the Minister requested the Public Security Forces to drastically fight against economic crimes, corruption, smuggling, counterfeiting, hi-tech crimes, environmental crimes and food safety violations in the closing months of the year.
