He stated that the unit has been upgraded to Level 2 and is currently under consideration for Level 3, enabling it to undertake missions assigned by the United Nations at peacekeeping operations.

With notable achievements in international missions, the Vietnamese police peacekeeping force has earned high appreciation from the United Nations and the international community, as well as the trust and support of the Party, the State and the people.

According to the Deputy Minister, that the Peacekeeping Training and Capacity Development Center has its official headquarters marks a strategic milestone in the implementation of Vietnam’s policies on international integration and the modernization of the armed forces.

That also meets the urgent requirement to build a contingent of elite police officers capable of working independently in an international environment, while contributing to safeguarding the Fatherland early and from afar, and reaffirming Vietnam’s strong commitment to making substantive and responsible contributions to United Nations peacekeeping activities.

Deputy Minister Pham The Tung emphasized that the police peacekeeping force should demonstrate the highest level of determination, deserving its role as a pioneering and exemplary unit in implementing the emulation movement “Three Bests,” thereby contributing to enhancing the image of Vietnamese public security officers in the eyes of the people and international friends.
