
Russian Emergency Situations Minister lays flowers at People’s Public Security Monument
As part of their working trip to Vietnam, a delegation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia led by Minister Aleksandr Kurenkov laid flowers at the Monument “People’s Public Security Forces – Devoted to the People,” on the morning of March 6 in Hanoi.

Joining the delegation was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Vietnam Gennady Bezdetko.

At the monument, Minister Aleksandr Kurenkov and delegates solemnly laid flowers, observed a moment of silence and paid their deep respect to the fallen officers of the Public Security Forces of Vietnam who had devoted their lives to the missions of safeguarding national security, maintaining social order and safety and serving the people.
The visit by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations delegation demonstrated its respect for the traditions, history and contributions of the Vietnamese People’s Public Security Forces to the Vietnamese revolution, as well as reflected the strong spirit of friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Russia.
The event reaffirmed the solidarity and shared responsibility of law enforcement and emergency response forces of the two countries, which are doing their utmost to prevent and respond to natural disasters and emergency situations in their countries.
