Strengthening law enforcement cooperation with Xinjiang Public Security Bureau

During the meeting, Minister Luong Tam Quang proposed that the Xinjiang Public Security Bureau step up collaboration with operational units under the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and local Vietnamese police forces to boost law enforcement cooperation and combat transnational crime, drug-related crime, human trafficking, and high-tech crime.

Additionally, Minister Luong Tam Quang expressed hope that the Xinjiang Public Security Bureau will actively share expertise in border gate management, transport infrastructure governance, fire prevention, firefighting, and search and rescue with operational units and local police forces of Viet Nam. 

He also suggested exploring the establishment of cooperative ties between Xinjiang and local Vietnamese police departments in localities with comparable socio-economic conditions, thereby facilitating professional exchanges and fostering mutual understanding and solidarity between officers of both sides.

Expressing his delight at the visit of Minister Luong Tam Quang and the MPS delegation to the autonomy, Mr. Pan Xi emphasized that the Xinjiang Public Security Bureau will enhance coordination with MPS operational units and local police departments in Viet Nam to combat all forms of crime, especially transnational crime, drug trafficking, and telecom and online fraud.

He pledged to strengthen information sharing and professional exchanges in areas of mutual interest, thereby contributing to deepening the China–Viet Nam Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership as well as advancing cooperation between the two Ministries of Public Security for the peace and well-being of both peoples.

During their working visit to Xinjiang, General Luong Tam Quang and the high-level MPS delegation also visited the Special Operations Police Detachment under the Xinjiang Public Security Bureau.
