300 people in Ly Son receive free health check-ups
MPS - 60 medical staff members of the 198 and 199 Hospitals under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) recently visited and offered free health check-ups to people living on Ly Son island (Quang Ngai). This was part of their activities to mark the 73rd Traditional Day of the Public Security Forces (August 19, 1945 – 2018).
The voluntary mission of the two hospitals raised VND 6 million on the spot to help Tran Danh, a disabled local of Ly Son, to buy a wheelchairs; offered free health check-ups and consultancy, and medicines to 300 needy people; presented 50 gifts, 500 kg of rice and 20 life jackets to poor families and disadvantaged students at local primary and high schools.

Senior Colonel Tran Quoc Hung, Vice Director of 198 Hospital emphasized that the program aimed to relieve local people’s difficulties as well as to encourage them to keep working at the sea to protect the country’s marine territory.
Via the program, medical workers of the two hospitals also participated in the movement of “Building on the public security officers’ manners of bravery, humanity and devotedness to the people”.
