Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son praises Public Security Forces for effectively combating counterfeit goods

The mentioned agencies under the Ministry of Public Security include the Environmental Police Department, the Economic Police Department, the Office of the Criminal Investigation Authority of the Ministry of Public Security and the Office of the Ministry of Public Security.

In his letter, the Deputy Prime Minister praises the agencies for their outstanding achievements in investigating and handling criminal cases involving the production and trafficking of counterfeit food and medicine.

He writes, the above police agencies have cleared a number of cases, in which fake goods, including medication and food were produced and trade in large quantity, and the counterfeit producers and traders used fine tricks and tactics.

Dangerously, the production and trading of counterfeits has occurred for an extended period across various provinces and cities, seriously affecting the lives, health and daily well-being of consumers as well as the economy and the society as a whole.

On behalf of the National Steering Committee 389, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son recognizes the outstanding achievements of the Public Security Forces in combating counterfeit goods production and trafficking.

The Deputy Prime Minister considered that the Public Security Forces have demonstrated their great efforts and strong determination as well as close coordination with relevant authorities in combating smuggling, commercial fraud and counterfeiting over the past time, which has contributed significantly to safeguarding national security, ensuring social order and safety and protecting the peaceful and happy lives of the people.

The Deputy Prime Minister hopes that the Public Security Forces will continue to attain achievements and make every effort to excellently fulfill all assigned tasks, particularly in detecting, preventing and strictly handling all violations in accordance with the law.

He also requests that competent authorities appropriately commend and reward all units and officers who have obtained outstanding achievements in the fight against smuggling, commercial fraud and counterfeit goods.
