According to an orator, the Law on Fire Prevention, Firefighting and Rescue, as well as two governmental decrees and three circulars issued by the Minister of Public Security guiding the implementation of the law, will come into effect from July 1, 2025.

The above legal documents introduce a wide range of new regulations related to the State management of fire and rescue as well as responsibilities of State agencies, organizations and individuals both inside and outside the Public Security Forces regarding fire prevention, firefighting and rescue operations.
In his opening remarks, Deputy Minister Le Van Tuyen underscored that MPS organized the workshop to explain key contents of the law as well as related decrees and circulars to ministries, branches, agencies and localities, particularly the Public Security Forces.
Lectures delivered at the workshop focused on new provisions related to the State management of fire and rescue and the responsibilities of relevant legal entities for fire prevention, firefighting and rescue.

At the meeting, Director of the Police Department of Fire and Rescue Lieutenant General Nguyen Tuan Anh underlined new provisions stipulated in the recently adopted Law on Fire Prevention, Firefighting and Rescue in comparison to the 2001 Law on Fire Prevention and Fighting and its previous guiding documents.
During the workshop, representatives from ministries and localities also shared their insights and proposed various approaches to effectively implement the law and its guiding documents.
Concluding the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Van Tuyen proposed other ministries, local authorities, sectors and the entire political system as a whole should join the Public Security Forces’ efforts to effectively implement the Law on Fire Prevention, Firefighting and Rescue and its guiding documents as well as to participate actively in fire prevention, firefighting and rescue work.

He requested that leaders of ministries, agencies and people’s committees of provinces and centrally run cities direct their subordinate units to popularize the new provisions of the Law on Fire Prevention, Firefighting and Rescue to all officials, public workers and people via media platforms, while organizing training courses and workshops for in-charge personnel under their management, ensuring the synchronous and effective implementation of fire prevention, firefighting and rescue regulations across the country.
