Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Le Van Tuyen and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan co-chaired the meeting.
The draft report on inspection results affirmed, the Ministry of Industry and Trade coordinated with relevant agencies to draft the Law on Electricity with updated provisions on electricity consumption beyond the meter, which has been passed by the 15th National Assembly.

The Ministry also advised the Government to issue eight decrees guiding the implementation of the Law on Electricity and promulgated 18 circulars to enforce them.
Regarding electricity safety, the Ministry of Industry and Trade instructed provincial-level Departments of Industry and Trade and the Vietnam Electricity Group to launch public education drives on power safety regulations, conducted on-site inspections at power projects prone to accidents as well as guided agencies, organizations and households to use power in a safe and effective manner, contributing to minimizing risks of electrical fires and explosions.
In his remarks, Deputy Minister Le Van Tuyen urged the Ministry of Industry and Trade to promptly implement its assignments defined in the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 235 approving the implementation plan for the Law on Fire Prevention and Rescue and related decrees, especially Decree No. 106/2025/ND-CP on administrative penalties in the field of fire prevention, firefighting and rescue.

He also called on the Ministry of Industry and Trade to continue its efforts to raise public awareness of observing electrical safety regulations by holding electricity safety education drives in residential areas and industrial zones as well as in trade-related activities.
Furthermore, the Deputy Minister also recommended that the Ministry of Industry and Trade should direct provincial-level departments of industry and trade to strengthen coordination with local fire and rescue police forces in appraising designs of projects, final acceptance inspections and other relevant activities.
Finally, he stressed the need to regularly review and update technical standards and regulations on fire safety for the industry, and consider forming specialized advisory divisions on fire prevention and rescue.
