Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang meets with Commander-in-Chief of South Sudan Police

MPS - Within the framework of his working visit to the Republic of South Sudan, Head of the Steering Committee of Project 05 on the Vietnamese police participation in UN peacekeeping operations and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang had a meeting with Commander-in-Chief of South Sudan Police Lieutenant General Atem Marol Biar, on the morning of March 26, 2024 (local time),.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed issues of mutual concern.
 
The local police chief praised Vietnamese peacekeeping police officers for their ethic qualities as well as professional abilities and professional qualifications, saying that the Vietnamese police officers successfully fulfilled their functions and assignments as UN peacekeepers while promoting the image of a friendly, hospitable and peace-loving Vietnamese nation.
 
The Commander-in-Chief of South Sudan Police took the occasion to extend deep thanks to the Government of Vietnam in general and the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in particular for the support and assistance for the South Sudan Police Force.
 
South Sudan Police leaders welcomed Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang and the Ministry of Public Security delegation to work.

For his part, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang said that the Ministry of Public Security's working delegation highly appreciates the support of the Commander-in-Chief of South Sudan Police, the South Sudan authorities for the deployment of Vietnamese forces to the UNMISS, and affirmed that the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam always attaches much importance to ensuring security and safety for its personnel deployed at UNMISS.
 
Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang requested the Commander-in-Chief of South Sudan Police to regularly update Vietnamese police peacekeepers on the security and geopolitical situation and information about conflicts in the country so that the Vietnamese police peacekeepers could develop appropriate security and safety plans to ensure security and safety.
 
The guest also hoped that the local authorities will create favorable conditions for Vietnamese police peacekeepers to do their duties as well as for Vietnamese police delegation to visit and work in South Sudan in the coming time.

At noon on the same day, the delegation of the Ministry of Public Security left the capital Juba, South Sudan for Cairo, Egypt, ending the business trip to South Sudan.
